Public invited to talk on standards of hospital care
The public are invited to attend a special Medicine for Members meeting at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital about national standards of care in hospital. These are set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and cover issues such as personal comfort, hygiene, nutrition, information, timeliness, and dignity and privacy.
The meeting will be taking place from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday 3rd November 2011 in the Gooch Lecture Theatre at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Nurses from NNUH will be talking about the recent inspection by the CQC, the ways in which the hospital is improving the care for patients on the wards, and the information being used to assure the Trust and the public about the quality of care patients will receive.
David Prior, Chairman of NNUH, says: “This is a vitally important issue. We are very keen to show local people what we are doing and to hear people's feedback or suggestions.”
