NNUH teams grow moustaches for charity

Men from Pharmacy department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) are growing moustaches to raise funds and awareness.

Ten members of the Pharmacy department and have already signed up to take part in Movember (the month formerly known as November) by growing a moustache during November to raises funds and awareness for of mens health issues and raising money for prostate and testicular and other cancer charities that affect men.

The Pharmacy department have also been joined by 10 men from Radiology and a growing number of men (and women) from the Plastic Surgery department.

James Hipperson, Clinical Pharmacist said “Many of us have lost relatives or friends to prostate or testicular cancer so we decided to grow Mo's in support of these worthy charities. We hope to raise £500 over the month and are also holding a departmental competition for the 'best mo' and 'biggest mo fundraiser.”

Jon Clibbon, Consultant Plastic Surgeon speaking on behalf of Team Mawson said “as health professionals we wanted to set an example and lead the way in raising awareness, whilst having a bit of fun at the same time!.
