Carers’ information day at NNUH

A Carers’ Information Day is being held in the East Atrium of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday 14th December.

The aim of the day is to provide a wide range of information and support for carers in one place.  It will cover illnesses and conditions as well as advice on practical issues such as benefits, community transport, and community groups.

Assistant Director of Nursing Dawn Collins says:  “Carers play a vital role in supporting patients and we want to ensure they get all the information and support they need.

“The information day is part of a campaign to improve the support that carers’ receive.”

A number of charities and organisations will be present at the Carers’ Information Day, including Age UK, the Norwich and District Carers’ Forum, MIND, Parkinson’s UK, the Alzheimer’s Society, the National Autistic Society, Asperger’s Association, Home Instead, and the mental health singing group Sing Your Heart Out.
