Volunteers sought to collect patient feedback

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking 20 volunteers to help it collect feedback from patients about their experience in hospital.

Sally Knights, Voluntary Services Manager, says: “We are looking for volunteers who can give us about four hours of their time each week. The volunteers will have to liaise with staff and patients and must be comfortable in using a hand held computer device.”

The new volunteers will be helping with a new-style patient experience survey which was launched in January.

The survey covers issues such as personal comfort, hand hygiene, nutrition, and dignity and privacy. Respondents are able to add their own comments as well as answering standard questions.

People who are interested in joining the hospital’s 600-strong volunteer force should contact Charlotte Kippin, Volunteer Co-ordinator, on 01603 286060 or e-mail charlottel.kippin@nnuh.nhs.uk
