Pathology on show at The Forum, Norwich

Pathologists and Biomedical Scientists from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital are holding a schools event at Millenium Library at The Forum, from 10.00am to 12.30pm on Thursday 8th November.

This event is aimed at GCSE and A-Level students and will consist of a series of short talks and interactive displays.

Talks will take place in The Curve, and will include cancer genetics, microbiology and virology, blood transfusion and the role of pathologists in medicine.

Consultant Microbiologist Dr Caroline Barker says: Pathology plays a crucial role in the diagnosis, follow up treatment and assessment of the outcome of disease in the vast majority of patients and this morning will be a good chance for those interested in a career in health sciences to come and meet some of the professionals working in the various different fields and hear about the varied work they do”.
