Charity Golf Tournament in aid of Hospital Appeal

Shaun Larkins and colleagues from the Duff Morgan car dealership in Norwich are organising a Golf Day on Sunday 2nd June 2013. The day will raise money for an appeal which will benefit cancer patients at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (Targeted Radiotherapy Appeal) and the work of The Brain Tumour Charity.

The money raised through the TRA will be used to reconfigure some of the existing rooms in the Colney Centre, to provide state-of-the-art facilities for people undergoing internal radiotherapy, known as high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy. The new facilities will allow more patients to benefit from reduced treatment times and also means some patients can be treated closer to home

Shaun and Richard Dade decided to organise this golf tournament in memory of a colleague, Sean Terrington who died from cancer last year.

Shaun said: “Sean was a brilliant golfer and a great friend and colleague. We all wanted to do something special in his memory.’

Louise Cook, fundraising manager at NNUH, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Sean’s family and colleagues at Duff Morgan for supporting our Targeted Radiotherapy Appeal, which will benefit local cancer patients.

“They have put so much work into organising the day. We can’t thank them enough for all their support.”

Louise Cook added: “We are so grateful to everyone who is supporting our Targeted Radiotherapy Appeal and are always looking for people like Shaun and Richard, to get involved in fundraising, to help raise our target of £600,000. Please contact us if you would like to help.”
