NNUH Theatre team to run Race for Life
A team of 13 runners, from the Main Theatres Recovery at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) are to run the Race for Life this Saturday 18th May to raise monies for Cancer Research UK.
The team decided to call themselves the PACEmakers as a reflection of the fast paced work they take on in Recovery! They decided to take part in Race for Life and raise funds for Cancer Research as this is a charity close to their hearts and as well as to many others whose lives have been affected by cancer.
Nadine Thoday & Kristina Marks, Staff Nurse's and leaders of the PACEmakers said This year we decided to run as a group, many of us are nurses and we see on a daily basis the devastating effects that this awful disease has. We believe by putting all our energy together and by fundraising as a group we can raise lots of money and have great fun doing so.
The team are hoping to raise at least £1000 for Cancer Research UK and anyone who would like to donate to this team effort can do so at http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/the-pacemaker5
