Job opportunities to be showcased at the Careers Fair at NNUH Open Day

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) will be holding a careers fair showcasing nursing and other healthcare service roles, as part of its Open Day and Fete from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 29th June.

The careers fair will showcase the many different occupations available at the NNUH and enable visitors to talk to healthcare professionals and find out more about the options which might suit them.

There will be a big focus on nursing within an acute setting and a chance for those thinking of returning to nursing to come and talk to nurses from different specialities first hand. There will also be a chance for registered nurses to find out what professional development is available to support the move into nursing in an acute setting.

Emma McKay, Director of Nursing at the NNUH said “This is an excellent opportunity for registered nurses or those thinking of returning to nursing to come and discuss the career and development opportunities available with us”. This event is also a good way to find out about the different careers and development opportunities available within a hospital setting, a chance to speak with staff from different departments about working in the NHS as well as a chance to see behind the scenes at the region’s busiest hospital.”

There will also be information about apprenticeships at the NNUH as well as information on education and training opportunities provided by Norwich City College and the University of East Anglia.

NNUH’s service provider Serco will be demonstrating the job roles available in the hospital, such as catering, cleaning, maintenance and engineering.

The careers being promoted at the event include nursing, paediatric nursing, midwifery, therapies, diagnostic radiography and radiotherapy, pharmacy, orthoptics, hospital theatre roles, plus administrative and support services.
