Last Chance to nominate Patient Choice Award

Patients have until the end of June to nominate an individual or team who have gone the extra mile in providing care. So far over 400 nominations have been received in the annual Staff Awards which cover both the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) and Cromer Hospital.

The Patient Choice award, supported by the Eastern Daily Press, enables patients to nominate those staff who provide exceptional kindness, professional expertise or expert patient care.

NNUH Chief Executive Anna Dugdale said: “It is a great pleasure to be able to recognise some of our special employees who go above and beyond the call of duty to support and care for our patients and their families. This year we are delighted that EDP Editor-in-Chief, Nigel Pickover will be our guest of honour presenting this award”.

Nigel Pickover said “I’m delighted to be involved in these awards which showcase the dedication that local health care staff deliver to patients in our region and which complement our own Stars of Norfolk Awards.”

Annabel Kennan, NNUH Public Governor and Judge for the Patient Choice Award said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for patients to nominate those truly exceptional individuals or teams who have made a difference to their lives.”

The awards have been sponsored by Serco which provides a range of services at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
