Communications team shortlisted for award

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital's Communications Team has been shortlisted for a top award from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

The hospital team has been shortlisted in the regional CIPR PRide awards for its communications campaign on Memory Matters in the category of best low budget campaign. Memory Matters is a scheme to assess patients aged 75 and over for early signs of dementia when they are admitted to hospital in an emergency. The campaign for Memory Matters involved raising awareness of the scheme with patients and staff to support the introduction of the new assessments.

The East Anglian final is due to be held on 6th November 2013 at Trinity Park, Ipswich.

Fiona Devine, Director of Communications at NNUH, said: “We are very pleased that the work we undertake to support patients and the clinical teams has been recognised by the CIPR and we are very proud to be nominated.”

The NNUH Communications team is comprised of Fiona Devine, Janice Bradfield, Hayley Gerrard and Susie Brodrick.
