NNUH to take part in World Record Attempt to raise awareness of Breast Feeding
On Saturday 3rd August 2013 at 10.30 am in Eaton Park, Norwich midwives from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) are encouraging mums to come and take part in the Big Latch On as part of a world record attempt, to get as many women breast feeding in one place for one minute, as part of World Breastfeeding Awareness Week.
Torie Popay, community midwife at the NNUH and one of the infant feeding keyworkers who organised this event said we wanted to do something different this year to promote World Breastfeeding Awareness Week and raise awareness of the importance of breastfeeding. This event is held around the world and is the first time that we have taken part and we are hoping to encourage as many women and their families as possible to come along and join in.
Torie will also be available to answer questions related to breastfeeding on the day.
