intu Chapelfield Shoppers to find out about Apprenticeships in the NHS

On Thursday 20th February 2014 the Norwich & Central Norfolk NHS Apprenticeship Team based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) will be on hand to give advice on careers and apprenticeships in the NHS to shoppers in intu Chapelfield.

This will be the second year running that the Team have taken their stand to intu Chapelfield in the run up to National Apprenticeship Week (3rd -7th March). The seventh annual National Apprenticeship Week is designed to celebrate Apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the economy. The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2014 is “Great Businesses” are made by Apprentices and Apprenticeships lead to “Great Prospects.”

Annie Cook, Apprenticeship Coordinator at NNUH, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for people in Norwich and Central Norfolk to seek advice and guidance on apprenticeship and career opportunities across a broad range of careers within the NHS, including clinical and non-clinical roles. As well as careers in Medicine and Nursing there are opportunities available for apprentices in Business Administration, Information Technology, Accounts, Human Resources, Training, Engineering and many more. Working in partnership with intu Chapelfield enables the NHS to promote the broad range of careers available to our local community and future workforce.”

intu Chapelfield’s general manager Davina Tanner said: “Apprenticeships are a great way to start a career path and at intu Chapelfield we actively promote and support them. We are extremely pleased to welcome the hospital team to intu Chapelfield to promote the NHS schemes available to our shoppers.”

The NHS stand will be located on the Upper Floor near the Sunglasses Hut from 9.30am until 1.30pm.
