NNUHs Got Talent!
Staff at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) are organising a Talent Show to raise money for the hospitals Targeted Radiotherapy Appeal (TRA).
Supported by local star Sam Kelly from the Britains Got Talent finals who will be playing a set on the night, the Talent Show promises to showcase a wide range of hospital staffs talents from singing to stand-up comedy.
The TRA aims to raise £600,000 to provide state-of-the-art facilities for people undergoing internal radiotherapy, known as brachytherapy, which is used to treat prostate and other cancers. Brachytherapy will help to reduce treatment times for some patients and mean they can be treated closer to home.
Tim Shayes, one of the organisers of the show, said: The hospital has such a diversity of staff who are very talented that we thought it would be a fun idea to hold a great night out and raise money for a fantastic cause at the same time.
Louise Cook, Fundraising Manager at NNUH, said: We are absolutely delighted our staff are supporting the hospital charitys appeal. I know that everyone has put a lot of effort into the show and Im sure that it will be a great success.
The Talent Show will be held on 28th March 2014 at 7:30pm at The Talk venue on Oak Street in Norwich. Tickets are £12.50 which includes supper, the Talent Show and a disco.
