Chance to win £10,000 in sponsored hospital technology idea competition
Budding inventors from across the region are being given the chance to win £10,000 in a competition looking for the best new technological innovation which could transform patient care and/or the working lives of clinicians at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).
NNUH is giving local people the opportunity to showcase any ideas or innovations which they think could transform patient care at a special event in June. The Improving patient care and clinicians lives through technology event will run alongside the NNUHs hospital fete on Saturday 21st June from 1pm until 4pm in the East Atrium Level 1.
Chris Cobb, Director of Medicine and Emergency Services said: The development of sophisticated healthcare technologies and the explosion in wireless and smart products in recent years has presented a wealth of possibilities for improved patient care and provides an exciting opportunity for innovation.
We want to hear from anyone who has a technological innovation and give them the opportunity to showcase their idea to clinicians, patients, the general public and staff. We are looking for ideas that could make a difference to patients' whether you have a finished article or the concept of an application or product that can improve our patients experience of care and/or our clinicians working lives.
The person whose innovation is chosen as the most beneficial to patients and/or clinicians may win a prize of £10,000, sponsored by a market leader in healthcare technology if the idea is developed and subsequently used by NNUH for the day-to-day care of patients.
