Charity Classic Car Fun Day
Norwich Classic Vehicle Club has organised a Classic Car Fun Day on 1st June 2014 to raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Lewis Turner and Les Heaton, organisers of this event, are keen car enthusiasts and have several family members whose babies have been cared for by NICU over the last few years and they wanted to help raise money for the unit.
Lewis Turner said: We wanted to do something fun to raise money for such a fantastic Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We held our first fun day last year and raise £1,500 for the unit so we would love to beat this total.”
The Fun Day will held at Anglian Windows Social Club, Holt Rd, Norwich, Norfolk NR10 3AQ. It will run from 10am 5pm and will feature classic cars of all ages, live music, and lots of games and activities for all the family including the chance to win a classic Allegro in the raffle.
Louise Cook, fundraising manager, said: We are absolutely delighted that Norwich Classic Vehicle Club has decided to raise money for our NICU department again. Les and Lewis and all the members have put so much time and effort into organising the day that I am sure it will be a huge success.”
Louise added: We are so grateful that people support Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund. Whilst the NHS provides the necessities, the charity funds projects that make the hospital experience a better one for our patients, visitors and staff. We are always looking for people to get involved in fundraising so please contact us if you would like to help.”
