Old Time Music Hall Fun for Hospital Charity
A series of Music Hall Concerts, organised by Phoenix Opera at the Maddermarket Theatre, will bring old time fun and laughter to Norwich from 9 11 October 2014. The concerts will be held to raise money for various local charities, one of which is the Breast Cancer Resource Fund which will benefit local patients at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
The concert organisers decided to support the hospital charity and specifically the breast cancer fund because one of the organisers, Pip Jenkinson, had received treatment for breast cancer from the hospital.
Ms Pip Jenkinson, organiser from Phoenix Opera said: Having experienced the excellent care from the breast cancer team I really wanted to help others in a positive way and the concerts will benefit a cause very close to my heart but also other worthwhile charities in Norwich.”
Monies raised from the concerts will be split between the benefitting charities and the funds raised for the Breast Cancer Resource Fund will be used to benefit local breast cancer patients.
The concerts will be at The Maddermarket Theatre starting on Thursday 9 October at 7.30pm to Saturday 11 October, tickets cost £12.00, matinee £10.00.
Louise Cook, Fundraising Manager said, “It is lovely that there is a specific event in Norwich happening in breast cancer awareness month which will benefit a local charity that supports breast cancer patients. I urge people to come along on the night to show their support and book a ticket for a fun night out.”
