Alfa Romeo is auctioned in aid of hospital charity appeal
A generous patient, who has been treated for cancer at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, has purchased an Alfa Romeo Mito which will be auctioned by local auctioneers Durrants in aid of the Targeted Radiotherapy Appeal and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Mr Derick Taylor and his wife have kindly donated the brand new car as a prize lot in a charity auction which starts on 18th November and closes on 25th November. Other items are being sought for the charity auction, such as restaurant meals, bed and breakfast deals and gift vouchers.
Rebecca Mayhew from Durrants said: “We are delighted to be able to help the hospital charitys Targeted Radiotherapy Appeal and Macmillan Cancer Support with this auction. Durrants is very proud to support two such worthy causes which will benefit from such a great auction lot. The more money we can raise the more cancer patients will benefit.
Louise Cook, Fundraising Manager for NNUH, said: We are incredibly grateful for the generous gift which will not only raise money for cancer appeal but will hopefully raise awareness of our hospital charity and how it makes a difference to the local community. We really want to make this a huge success so any support people can give either by bidding or from a donation of an auction lot would be wonderful.
