Making Christmas Special for Everyone
Three of Norwichs leading companies, Price Waterhouse Cooper, Duff Morgan and Inchcape, have decided to spread some Christmas cheer for those staying on the Older People wards at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) over the festive period.
Aphrodite Antoniades, (Audit Manager) Anna Blackman (Audit Engagement Lead) and Lenka Marvanova from Price Waterhouse Cooper; Shaun Larkins (Sales Executive)Duff Morgan; and Tom Chappell and Jamie Goorwitch (Sales and Customer Service Team Managers) from Inchcape Norwich delivered various presents to Matron Jane Douglas, including fluffy socks, handkerchiefs, toiletries and photo frames, from their Christmas sack on various Older Peoples Medicine wards (OPM).
Deputy Director of Nursing Dawn Collins said: The generosity is so heart-warming and will bring so many smiles to the faces of our patients on Christmas morning at this time of year. It is very generous of Duff Morgan and Price Waterhouse Cooper to support such a local charity in this way.
Louise Cook added: Christmas is about giving and these companies have shown that their support will help make Christmas Day special for our patients. We would like to get more companies involved with our Christmas Present Giving as we see many patients of all ages who would benefit from a bit of Christmas cheer. “
All staff from Duff Morgan contributed to purchase the presents, Inchcape colleagues decided to forego secret Santa and put the money towards older patients on the wards instead whereas Price Waterhouse Cooper collected gifts from colleagues.
