Norfolk football heroes flying visit to children’s ward

Five Canaries dropped by for a ‘flying’ visit to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital’s children’s ward on Tuesday 16th December.

Norwich City football players John Ruddy, Jonny Howson, Bradley Johnson, Jamar Loza and Nathan Redmond spread some festive cheer to children staying on Buxton Ward. The players spent time talking to the patients, signing autographs, posing for photos and delivering Christmas goody bags and vouchers to patients

Emma Dolman, Matron of Children Services said: “The visit from the players really helped to spread festive cheer to the young patients on the ward. The visit was a complete surprise to the patients and for a lot of them being able to meet their local footballing heroes is a dream come true. We are incredibly grateful to NCFC for making the time to visit the ward, talk to the children and for their generous donations.”
