Thank you to companies making Christmas special

Thanks to three of Norwich’s leading companies, Price Waterhouse Cooper, Duff Morgan and Inchcape, patients on the Older People’s Medicines Wards (OPM) at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital were able to enjoy some festive cheer on Christmas morning.

A variety of gifts were donated to patients on the OPM wards by the companies ensuring that those who stayed in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital over the Christmas holiday were able to enjoy some festive cheer too.

Gifts given on Christmas morning by the nursing staff ranged from fluffy socks, toiletries and photo frames from companies which had organised various schemes to collect the presents. Staff from Duff Morgan contributed to purchase the presents, Inchcape decided to forego secret Santa and put the money towards older patients on the wards instead, and Price Waterhouse Cooper collected gifts from colleagues.

Louise Cook, NNUH Fundraising Manager commented: “A big thank you to these generous companies that have shown their support and helped to make Christmas Day special for our patients. We would like to get more companies involved with our Christmas Present Giving next year to make sure even more patients of all ages benefit from a bit of Christmas cheer. “

The 2015 Christmas present appeal for patients plans to include ‘present drop-off points’ at West and East Outpatient reception desks for anyone wishing to donate a gift to be delivered to patients on Christmas morning.
