Communications team shortlisted for two awards
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital's Communications Team has been shortlisted for two top awards from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
The hospital team has been shortlisted for best use of social media in the regional CIPR awards for its #iCare communications campaign for Dementia. The campaign focussed on promoting understanding and awareness of dementia, and sharing information about NNUHs dementia services for its patients, their carers and families, as part of the national Dementia Awareness Week in May.
The campaign supported a lecture for the public about dementia, an advice stand for shoppers at intu Chapelfield, events and information for hospital staff and a knitting appeal for the public to knit sensory bands for patients in the hospital with dementia.
Team member Emma Jones has also been shortlisted in the Outstanding Young Communicator category for her contribution to the communications industry.
The East Anglian CIPR Awards final is due to be held on the 1st October 2015 at Homerton College, Cambridge.
Fiona Devine, Director of Communications at NNUH, said: “The team is really pleased that our dementia campaign and Emmas work have been recognised by the CIPR and we are very proud to be finalists in these Awards.
The NNUH Communications team is comprised of Janice Bradfield, Carolyn Bramble, Fiona Devine and Emma Jones.
