New Blood Pressure Monitor Presented to NNUH Stroke Ward

Gunthorpe donation from Rotary. web

An additional blood pressure monitor for the stroke ward at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital has been presented by the Rotary Club of Norwich.

The Rotary Club, Rotary House for the Deaf and a bequest from past member Ron Beame’s estate brought the total to over £1,100 and meant the monitor could be purchased for Gunthorpe ward.

Gunthorpe Sister Jane Shemilt said, “We are incredibly grateful for the support the Rotarians have given our ward. This additional machine will not only monitor blood pressure it also monitors oxygen, pulse and the heart’.

The wives of three members of the Rotary Club of Norwich were cared for on Gunthorpe in the past year and members wanted to present the monitor in recognition of the care they received.
