Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital appoints Medical Director
After a nationwide recruitment search, Peter Chapman has been appointed to the role of permanent Medical Director at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Peter has been interim Medical Director at NNUH since April 2015 and has more than twenty years’ experience as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Peter is an Orthopaedic hand surgeon, and has been a consultant at NNUH since 1996. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1989 (FRCS) which was followed by an intercollegiate fellowship in Orthopaedics in 1994 (FRCS(Orth)). Peter studied at Medical School at Cambridge (MA) and the London Hospital (MBBS).
Over the last three years he has become increasingly involved in clinical management and became Deputy Medical Director in January 2015.
