Ballot papers dispatched in hospital election
Ballot papers have been dispatched to members of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who will be asked to elect seven new Governors.
The Governors will be part of the Trust’s Council of Governors which represents local people, patients and staff when decisions are made about the future of Cromer & District Hospital and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
John Fry, Chairman of NNUH, said: “Our Governors have an important role both to represent the views of the local community when decisions are made about the future of our hospitals and to be assured that the Trust is operating efficiently and providing excellent care.
“It is very encouraging, that so many people have put their names forward as potential Governors and I look forward to working with those who are elected.”
The elections are taking place in Breckland, Broadland, Norwich and South Norfolk, and King’s Lynn and West Norfolk involving over 13,000 members across these areas of the county.
UK Engage is running the election on behalf of the Trust to ensure it is independent and fair. Ballot papers must be returned by 7th December and the results of the election will be announced on 8th December.
