NNUH achieves Norwich for Jobs Gold Award

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Foundation Trust has been recognised for its efforts in establishing career paths and opportunities for young people, and has been awarded a Norwich for Jobs Gold Award.

Norwich for Jobs is a network of local employers, charities and organisations volunteering with the aim of getting young people the skills and experience they need to find work. Employers working with Norwich for Jobs can earn bronze, silver, gold or platinum awards for participation, and NNUH has achieved the necessary requirements for a prestigious gold award.

NNUH is one of the largest employers in Norfolk and Suffolk, with over 7,000 members of staff employed across Norfolk. The trust offers pathways into 350 career options within the NHS and actively encourages training, mentorship and development on both an individual and a team basis; including extensive apprenticeships, internships, and training opportunities within the NHS and with third party companies.

Director of Workforce Jeremy Over said: “Norwich for Jobs is a fantastic network of like-minded organisations all working towards doing good in our community, and getting young people into worthwhile careers. I’m very proud to be able to call NNUH a Norwich for Jobs Gold Award winner, and am sure that we will continue to improve and develop even further in the coming years.”

NNUH has supported Norwich for Jobs since its inception in 2013, and has worked continuously to contribute to the work being done by the network. Norwich for Jobs now works alongside almost every major employer in the county, and in the last six years has helped thousands of young people find work within the local community.
