Video: NNUH staff record Thank You Together message for NHS birthday

NNUH staff have been thanked for their efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic in a new video for the 72nd birthday of the NHS.

Twenty members of staff, including nursing teams, AHPs, midwives, doctors, critical care and the executive team, have recorded a thank you message to colleagues, patients, families and supporters ahead of the NHS anniversary.

Local landmarks including Norwich Castle and Norwich City Hall were lit up blue on Saturday.

Cromer Town Council also raised the NHS flag to celebrate the 72nd birthday.

At 5pm on Sunday, there’ll be a nationwide clap to say thank you to everyone who’s helped the NHS respond to the pandemic. Afterwards, people will be encouraged to stay outside to show their appreciation to their neighbours or reach out to someone who is lonely, isolated or shielding, to let them know they are supported.
