Our alert status

We have enhanced screening, cleaning and PPE processes in place.

Areas treating patients with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 are zoned with red signage to indicate they are high risk.

While we know more about the virus and have more effective treatments compared with the first wave of Covid-19, we ask everyone to do everything they can to keep the infection rate as low as possible with regular hand washing, social distancing and wearing face coverings inside public places.

Our Pandemic Infectious Respiratory Diseases Plan is part of our response to the second wave. Our current alert status is displayed at the hospital entrances:

Local Covid State 1 – no prevalence of Covid-19 in in-patient areas

Local Covid State 2 – low prevalence of Covid-19 in in-patient areas

Local Covid State 3 – some prevalence of Covid-19 in in-patient areas

Local Covid State 4 – high prevalence of Covid-19 in in-patient areas

Local Covid State 5 – very high prevalence of Covid-19 in in-patient areas

Local Covid State 6 – Regional Surge Centre.
