Ballot papers have been dispatched to over 9,000 members of Norfolk’s biggest hospital Trust, who will be asked to elect five new Governors in Norwich, Broadland and South Norfolk.

The Governors will be part of the Council of Governors for the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH).  The council represents local people, patients and staff when decisions are made about the future of Cromer & District Hospital and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Tom Spink, Interim Chairman of NNUH, said: “Our Governors have an important role both to represent the views of the local community when decisions are made about the future of our hospitals and to be assured that the Trust is operating efficiently and providing excellent care.”

UK Engage is running the election on behalf of the Trust to ensure it is independent and fair. Ballot papers must be returned by 15 December and the results of the election will be announced on 19 December.
