Working as an Optometrist at NNUH

We are currently expanding our Optometry Service. Optometrists working within the NNUH Optometry Service work in an ‘extended role’ capacity within the sub-speciality ophthalmology clinics as well as within the Specialist Contact Lens and Low Vision clinics.

At present we have Optometric extended roles within the following sub-specialist clinics:

• • Anterior Segment Laser Clinic (LPI, SLT & YAG capsulotomy)
  • Cataract
  • Cornea
  • Glaucoma
  • Medical Retina
  • OERS (Ophthalmic Emergency Referral Service or ‘Eye Casualty’)
  • Paediatric
