Ear, Nose and Throat Out-patients

The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) out-patients clinics are generally led by an ENT consultant, specialist registrars and/or staff grade doctors and there is a team of ENT nurse practitioners and health care assistants.

The clinics run with the support of the Audiology department with their own dedicated staff. The ENT clinic is very busy with approximately 100 patients attending appointments every day. Whilst we allocate individual appointment times, some patients may need hearing tests before seeing the doctor, so for that reason, the appointment time given is the time patients should arrive and not necessarily the time they will be seen by the doctor or nurse. We ask patients to allow up to 2 hours for their visit.

If you are unable to attend your appointment it is very important that you let us know as soon as possible so that we can give the appointment to someone else.

Patients are welcome to bring someone with them to their appointment; however, there is limited space in the waiting areas so we request that this is limited to one person.
