Cromer Dialysis Unit (Renal)
Cromer Dialysis Unit caters for patients requiring haemodialysis and haemodiafiltration from North Norfolk. We are a satellite unit of the Renal Department of the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. We also work closely with our colleagues based at Norfolk and Norwich Kidney Centre and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
We treat 25 patients, three times a day, and open Monday-Saturday including Bank Holidays (the exception for this being Christmas Day and New Year’s Day when we open on the Sunday instead).
We are a nurse led unit who provide excellent renal care and a friendly atmosphere. A Renal Consultant visits weekly and is responsible for the medical management of the patients. Initial dialysis is provided at Norwich and once a slot becomes available at Cromer patients are transferred across.
