Muriel Thoms Procedure Unit (Cromer)

 

The Muriel Thoms Procedure Unit consists of a six bay recliner / trolley treatment area where patients can undergo medical treatments, such as, blood transfusions and bladder chemotherapy. It also provides rest / changing facilities for patients undergoing minor surgery in the high specification Procedure Room.

Operating sessions include LA Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Pain management, Orthopaedic Hand Lists, Hysteroscopy under LA, Flexible Cystoscopy, Post Menopausal Bleeding Clinic and Medical Botox treatment.

Medical treatments include blood transfusion, Venesection section and Iron Therapy treatments.

It has 12 full and part time staff led by Matron Anita Martins and Charge Nurse Paul Blencowe.

The Muriel Thoms Procedure Unit is situated on the first floor of Cromer Hospital. There are lifts available.
