Information for people with learning disabilities

One of the best ways for people with learning disabilities to find employment at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is via Project Search.
Project Search is an employment focussed education programme designed to give students with learning disabilities and/or autism the opportunity to get hands on experience in the workplace, develop employability skills combined with classroom sessions.
In Norwich, Project SEARCH is a partnership between the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Foundation Trust, Serco (NNUHFT Facilities Management), Norwich City College, Norfolk County Council and Remploy.
Project Search is designed to give students the opportunity to learn more about the world of work, develop employability skills and to test skills in a real life work placement. One of the aims is to develop the students to help them make the most of future work opportunities, either with their host employer or in the open job market.
The Trust and Serco are committed to making reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process. Accessible job descriptions have been developed and graduates in jobs continue to be supported by the Project Search team.
