International Company Support Hospital Playground

New Year, new playground thanks to a donation from Ashton KCJ, Lees Accountants and WDM Group. The local office situated in Norwich has donated £1,250.00 to the Jenny Lind Playground Fund.

The hospital launched its playground appeal in May 2015. This donation will help purchase one of the free standing games in the new playground, part of the renovation plans for the existing outdoor play area.

Emma Dolman, NNUH Matron for Children commented: “Play is a normal part of child development and having a play area provides a degree of normality for children while they benefit from fresh air and exercise.  We try our absolute best to help our young patients to cope with being in hospital or having to visit our clinics. We have an outside space which, although enjoyed, could become such a fantastic place for children and young people to have fun.”

Kiron Chavda Group Managing Director from WDM Group Ltd said: “When we heard about the playground fundraising appeal we wanted to get involved as this is such a good cause and close to each of our hearts.  We are very lucky to have this wonderful children’s hospital in Norfolk which does so much for so many children and we are delighted to be a part of the new playground project’.

Louise Cook, Fundraising Manager added: “The current outdoor play area has been well used but it needs updating. Our team in the Children’s department want to create a fun playground for all the children who come to NNUH – whether as a patient or visitor, that’s why, we’re so grateful for the support and donation from Ashton KCJ, Lees Accountants and WDM Group.”
