NNUH Media and Communications team shortlisted for two industry awards

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital’s Media and Communications Team has been shortlisted for two top awards from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

The hospital team has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Social Media and Internal Communications categories in the regional CIPR awards.  Their social media campaign focused on Dementia Awareness Week and the ‘This is Me’ booklet and created materials which patients, visitors and staff could download and use online and on the wards as part of the national Dementia Awareness Week in May.   The Internal Communications Campaign focused on communicating changes in the Trust’s organisation and included a special edition of ‘The Pulse’ magazine and all staff communications.

The East Anglian CIPR Awards final is due to be held on the 22nd September 2016 at Homerton College, Cambridge.

Fiona Devine, Director of Communications at NNUH, said: “The team is really pleased that our dementia awareness campaign and internal communications work have been recognised by the CIPR and we are very proud to be finalists in these Awards.”

The NNUH Communications team is comprised of Janice Bradfield, Fiona Devine, Emma Jones and Clare Simpson.
