First joint Carers Conference with QEH and JPUH
We’re holding our first joint Carers Conference with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and James Paget University Hospital on Wednesday 9 June to mark Carers Week (7-13 June).
It will comprise two sessions aligned with this year’s theme of “Making Caring Visible and Valued”:
- 10am-12pm: A session for carers to hear about ongoing work to support carers within healthcare and hear the voices of carers
- 1-3pm: A session for healthcare colleagues to attend Carer Awareness training and hear from a local organisation that can support identified carers.
All carers, healthcare staff and members of the Norfolk and Waveney community are welcome to attend both sessions.
Ruby Allen, Patient Experience Facilitator, said: “We hope the conference will provide an opportunity for carers and healthcare colleagues to come together, share experiences and develop further understanding of how carers can be best supported when accessing our hospitals’ services.”
- Join the Zoom session at any time from 10am-3pm (meeting ID: 799 936 4836)
- See the Patient Experience team’s social media channels, which will have content throughout the day – follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
