Norwich City footballers visit our children’s wards

Patients and families at the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital received a pre-Christmas visit from members of Norwich City Football Club on Monday 12 December.

Five players visited the children’s wards to meet staff, patients and carers and to hand out Christmas presents and sign autographs.

Teemu Pukki, Todd Cantwell, Grant Hanley, Dimitris Giannoulis and Angus Gunn visited Buxton Ward, the Children’s Assessment Unit and Children’s Emergency Department.

Laura Morgan and Alice Cook, Children’s Matrons, said: “We are very grateful to the club and the players for making the time to visit and for their generous donations.

“It was lovely to see the children’s reactions and the time the players spent talking to them and their families was really appreciated. It was a great morale lift for all the patients and staff at the Jenny Lind.”
