Tom Spink appointed Chair of NNUH
Tom Spink has been appointed as the new Chair of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust after serving as the Interim Chair from May 2022.
Tom is currently the Group Property and Procurement Director at Aviva and has been a Non-Executive Director at NNUH since 2020. He is a highly accomplished senior executive with over 20 years’ extensive experience operating at board level, in complex and challenging regulated organisations.
Sam Higginson, Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to confirm Tom in his permanent role as our new Chair. He is a great asset to the Trust with many years of experience at a senior level. Tom’s enthusiasm and commitment to our hospitals shines through and his leadership will help us to take forward our five year strategy – Caring with PRIDE.”
Tom said: “I feel enormously privileged to serve an organisation that touches the lives of so many people and has been part of the fabric of Norfolk for more than two centuries. In my role as Interim Chair, it has been a pleasure to meet so many excellent teams of caring and dedicated professionals across our hospitals. I will be taking every opportunity to meet patients and staff as we continue to deliver improvements in care for the people of Norfolk and Waveney.”
