Professional Profile: Mr Chourasia is a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. He qualified in 2002 from the GMC, Nagpur, India. Mr Chourasia was trained at various places in India, and post-training worked as a senior registrar at various places in the New Delhi trauma centre and Mumbai All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (learned about managing neurological foot conditions) before coming to the UK.
Since December 2011, working in the UK. Gained extensive experience in trauma and orthopaedics at various places. Mr Chourasia was awarded the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2022 and has been on the specialist register since 2024. Did a foot and ankle fellowship at Bournemouth under eminent foot and ankle consultant Mr Taylor, Ex BOFAS president, where also given the opportunity to work with two other eminent foot and ankle consultants. Prior to working at NNUH, he had worked for six months in Scotland as a locum consultant.
