Professional Profile:I studied at the University of Edinburgh and trained in cardiology at Oxford and Sydney, Australia. I have been a consultant since 2009 and I specialise in percutaneous coronary intervention. I look after patients with angina, heart attacks, arrhythmia, valvular heart disease and heart failure. I have a PhD in molecular biology, and I am the research lead for cardiology at NNUH, and co-lead for CRN Eastern. I am leading original research in to plaque erosion as a cause of myocardial infarction.
