Current Membership of Professional Bodies: The Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, The European Society of Vascular Surgery.

Professional Expertise: I studied medicine at the University of Leicester and undertook my specialist training in East Anglia. During my training I was the trainee representative on the Specialty Advisory Committee for Vascular Surgery, and President of the Rouleaux Club (trainee society). I was appointed as a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon in 2020. I have an interest in both open and endovascular aortic surgery, carotid surgery, lower limb bypass surgery and minimally invasive venous surgery.

Academic Interests: I have a strong academic background including a PGC in research, education and leadership from the University of Cambridge. I have developed a free online teaching platform (www.teachmesurgery.com) and have an interest in surgical training. I was awarded the British Journal of Surgery Prize for my MD into abdominal aortic aneurysms I have published over 50 peer reviewed papers across a wide range of vascular specialties, set-up randomised controlled trials, and set-up the Vascular and Endovascular Research Network. I have an interest in developing technology and innovation in vascular surgery.
