Profile
Roy has worked in the NHS for 26 years with 12 years being at a Board level. During his time in the NHS, Roy has led primary, secondary and tertiary services across multiple health systems. Roy has a strong track record of delivering both quality and performance while building professional links with industry, research and academic partners.
Roy is currently the Chief Finance Officer of Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, having joined the Trust in April 2020. He was previously the Chief Finance Officer of Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge. During his time at Royal Papworth, Roy helped to successfully deliver the move to a new state-of-the-art hospital and to become the first NHS hospital Trust in the country to receive an ‘Outstanding’ rating across all Care Quality Commission (CQC) domains.
As CFO, Roy is a Chartered Management Accountant who is committed to lead dynamic and complex healthcare systems and organisations by facilitating partnership working to develop new ideas, concepts, and innovation.
In addition to his Chief Finance Officer role: Roy is a Trustee at the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and has worked as an Executive Reviewer for the Care Quality Commission.
