Professional profile: Dr Wallace undertook her undergraduate training at London University, and her post graduate training in Oxford. She undertook clinical research in the field of insulin resistance and beta-cell function at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism and spent a further year doing research at the University of Washington. Following a year as a locum consultant at the Hammersmith hospital, she took up her appointment as consultant endocrinologist at the NNUH, and honorary senior lecturer at the UEA in December 2006.
