Professional profile: I am a Musculo-skeletal (MSK) radiologist at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, in post for 14 years during which time the musculo-skeletal imaging service has been developed; this is now recognised as one of the leading services in the country.

Service development includes imaging of sports injuries, utilising ultrasound, CT and MRI as well as imaged guided diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Establishment of a regional spinal intervention service which includes vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty for treatment of painful osteoporotic and metastatic vertebral compression fractions, radiofrequency ablation for treatment of benign and malignant tumours, diagnostic spinal biopsies and peri-neural steriod injections for radicular pain.

Honorary Consultant Radiologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital (2007-present) to advise on, train and perform MSK interventional cases, notably CT guided radiofrequency ablation of osteoid osteomas.

Elected executive ofice of the BSSR (British Society of Skeletal Radiology) 2005-2008.

Founding member of the British musculo-skeletal ultrasound society and the National vertebroplasty users’ group.

Tutor on the national musculo-skeletal ultrasound course for nearly 10 years and helped develop the national vertebroplasty database and guidelines which are widely utilised throughout the UK.

Personal profile: I lead an active life alongside my professional life. I have a young family and enjoy sport, particularly tennis, ski-ing, cricket and classical music and theatre.
