Professional Profile: I am a Consultant Trauma & Emergency General Surgeon at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Trust (Norwich, England), following a two-year appointment at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (London). I completed Higher Specialist Training on the London rotation and gained entry onto the GMC Specialist Register in 2021.
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and 2021 winner of the Association of Surgeons in Training Silver Suture as a nationally lauded surgical trainer; I instruct on the RCS Definitive Surgical Trauma Skills (DSTS) course and train UK military medics.
My non-NHS practice is centred around pre-hospital motorsports trauma care, serving as a trackside trauma doctor and event CMO at Brands Hatch Circuit as well as abroad – notably Formula 1 and World Rally-Raid. I am licensed by Motorsport UK.
I have experience in delivering prehospital trauma care and leading trauma teams in hostile and austere environments.
Personal Profile: I was born and raised in Northern Ireland to parents of Indian origin and left home to read Medicine in London in 2004, qualifying in 2009; I have been a Londoner ever since and now split my time between London and Norwich.
I am relatively new to Norfolk but as an explorer, outdoor enthusiast and cyclist I’m finding plenty of ways to get to know my new home. In the year or so I have been here it has been a pleasure getting to know the Norfolk people I now live and work amongst.
