The Corporate Communications department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) won a gold award last night at the Chartered Institute of Public Relation’s (CIPR) PRide Awards in Cambridge.
The award was in the not-for-profit category for the year-long series of events, called Rhubarb to Robotics – Celebrating 250 years of the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. The CIPR awards cover nine counties in the Anglia, Thames and Chiltern areas.
Tom Spink, NNUH Chair, said: “Our hospital is at the centre of the community, affecting the lives of thousands of families every year.
“These events brought people together to celebrate the enormous progress in healthcare since our inception and I commend the Communications team for its excellent work.”
Janice Bradfield, NNUH Head of Communications, said: “The PRide Awards honour the very best in communications and we are absolutely delighted to have won gold this year.”
The events included an open day and fete, open garden event and a 10-day exhibition on the history, present-day services and future plans for NNUH.
Run in partnership with the Norfolk & Norwich Hospitals Charity and The Forum in Norwich, the events were attended by thousands of people from across Norfolk.
