Celebration of 250 years of N&N to be held at the Norwich Cathedral

We are delighted to invite staff, past and present, volunteers, members of the public and all those who have supported the work of the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital (N&N), to a service of celebration at Norwich Cathedral at The Close, Norwich.

The service, which will take place on Sunday 25 September at 3pm will be led by the Hospital Chaplain Adrian Woodbridge, who will seek to paint the picture of the past and future of the hospital, share stories from staff, volunteers and patients about the N&N and recognise the amazing staff and supporters of the N&N through the centuries.

Adrian Woodbridge, Head of Spiritual Care said: “We are delighted to be holding a service celebrating 250 years of the N&N Hospital. The Cathedral were involved in the creation of the hospital all those years ago and we are delighted that they will be hosting this service. The service will celebrate staff, past and present, the care and treatment given to all those patients over the year and is an opportunity for the people of Norfolk and the staff of the hospital to come together to give thanks.”

We will be hoping to have a procession of the roles and uniforms who support patients now, which are very different to when the N&N was founded and where the Bishop of Norwich played a huge role in the founding of this hospital.
