Interim Chairman appointed
Tom Spink, Non-Executive Director at NNUH since 2020, has been appointed as interim Chairman at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Sam Higginson, Chief Executive said: “I am grateful to Tom for taking on this role. He has already brought a great deal of experience and insight to the Board and we are very fortunate that he agreed to take this on.”
It was announced at the end of April that David White NNUH Chairman since 2019, was stepping down in May this year. A recruitment process to appoint a substantive Chair will be under way shortly.
Tom said: “Good quality patient care and how we provide that is very important to me and I am honoured to carry out the role of interim Chairman to help build on what David has achieved. My experience here as a Non-Executive Director for two years, including the clinical visits at the Trust I’ve taken part in so far, all show how committed and dedicated the staff are to providing good patient care, taking every opportunity to improve patient experience.
“I’m very much looking forward to meeting more of the staff, seeing the great services they deliver and supporting the Trust on its improvement journey.”
