Patient and carer cancer group seeks new members
Patients and carers are being urged to help shape and improve cancer services by joining the Together Against Cancer (TAC) in Norfolk group.
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has had a patient and carer representative group for the last 14 years working in partnership with clinical and non-clinical staff to improve patient experience.
The TAC is now looking for new members to help redesign cancer services and help make positive changes at one of the country’s biggest cancer centres.
The group have worked in partnership with NNUH Cancer Services to highlight the annual National Cancer Patient Experience Survey, have developed strong links across the NHS in Norfolk and Waveney and represented the patient and carer voice at many local and national events.
Jo Richardson, Lead Cancer Nurse at NNUH, said: “Patients and carers are a critical component of our decision making and positively change the patient experience. We’d love to hear from more individuals who would be willing to represent cancer patients and their carers to ensure that their voices are heard and will be happy to work together to make a difference.”
The TAC members will be involved in helping to redesign patient pathways, improve the patient experience and help develop fully inclusive and accessible patient information and support.
