Sickle Cell Disease: Paediatrics 4

For use in children <16 years old attending the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital – member of the North Middlesex Haemoglobinopathy Network Group.
Local Use: All children with haemoglobinopathies have Open Access to CAU and any presentations should be regarded as a medical emergency and review should be prompt by ST3 level or above. All admissions should be seen by the on call Paediatric Consultant within 12 hours of admission.

Outside normal working hours please discuss patients admitted with the Paediatric Haematology team at Addenbrookes Hospital via the usual paediatric oncology pathway and please email Dr Ponnampalam for information.
